NEWARK, Del. (AP) -- Frank Elegar had 19 points on 9-of-11 shooting and nine rebounds to lead Drexel past Delaware 69-61 on Saturday.
Chaz Crawford added 11 points and 11 rebounds for the Dragons (14-4, 6-2 Colonial Athletic Association), who have won seven of eight.
Delaware led through most of the first half, but a 7-0 run in the final 1:36 gave Drexel a 26-24 lead at intermission.
The Blue Hens took their last lead, 29-28, on a three-point play by McMahon with 17:08 remaining. Crawford responded with a three-point play of his own, and the Dragons extended their lead with a 10-3 run that lasted just over four minutes.
Drexel also got 13 points from Dominick Mejia, whose jumper with 2:01 left gave the Dragons a 62-52 advantage. Brian Johnson scored 10 points for the Blue Hens, who got no points from their bench, compared with 18 for the Dragons.
Drexel shot 51.1 percent to the field, while Delaware managed just 37 percent. The Dragons outrebounded the Blue Hens 37-20 and blocked eight shots.
