Detroit 66, Ill.-Chicago 54

CHICAGO (AP) -- Brandon Cotton scored 22 points while leading Detroit to a 66-54 win over Illinois-Chicago on Saturday.

After trailing Detroit 28-22 at halftime, the Flames went on a 17-7 run to take a two-point lead on Jermaine Dailey's dunk with 11:21 left in the game. But the Titans quickly answered with 13 unanswered points of their own to take control of the game for good.

The Titans (6-12, 3-4 Horizon) outrebounded UIC 40-25, and outscored the Flames at the foul line 16-4.

Brandon Bell joined Cotton in double figures for Detroit with 11 points. Ryvon Covile added nine points and a game-high 12 rebounds for the Titans.

Othyus Jeffers and Josh Mayo led UIC (9-11, 4-3 Horizon) with 15 points apiece.
