BALTIMORE (AP) -- Steven Rush scored 20 points with five 3-pointers, and North Carolina A&T defeated Coppin St. 69-60 Saturday.
The Aggies (8-10, 4-2 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) had three other players in double figures in the team's fifth win in six games. Jason Wills came off the bench to score 14 points on 7-of-11 shooting, Austin Ewing scored 12 points and Glenn Nelson also came off the bench and had 10 points.
Robert Pressey led the Eagles with 18 points and 12 rebounds off the bench. Tywain McKee had 14 points on 5-of-13 shooting and Augustine Woodlin scored 12 points with three 3-pointers for the Eagles (3-15, 1-5 MEAC).
With 5:35 remaining, the Eagles erased a 14-point deficit and came within three points before Rush scored five points on an 11-0 run.
That gave the Aggies a 62-52 lead with just under two minutes to go. Before the game ended, the Aggies made 7-of-8 foul shots to keep the lead.
