TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) -- Jason Holsinger scored his only two baskets of the game in the final 45 seconds, including the game-winner at the buzzer, lifting Evansville to a 50-49 victory over Indiana State on Wednesday night.
Holsinger, who finished with five points, got his first basket on a layup that put the Aces (12-9, 5-5 Missouri Valley) ahead 48-47.
The Sycamores (11-8, 4-5) took the lead again on two free throws by Gabe Moore with 20 seconds left, then after a time-out, Holsinger drove to the basket again and scored as the game ended.
Jay Tunnell and Gabe Moore each scored 10 points to lead Indiana State, which suffered its fourth straight loss.
The Aces opened the game with a 12-2 run and led 29-22 at halftime. Indiana State came back in the second period and took its first lead on a 3-pointer by Moore with 13 minutes remaining.
Neither team led by more than four points the rest of the way.
