Virginia Commonwealth 75, George Mason 62

FAIRFAX, Va. (AP) -- B.A. Walker scored 24 points and Virginia Commonwealth used a 3-point shooting barrage in the second half to beat George Mason 75-62 Wednesday night.

Walker hit four of Virginia Commonwealth's eight second-half 3-pointers, as the Rams (17-3, 9-0 Colonial Athletic Association) outscored the Patriots 44-32 after halftime.

George Mason (11-8, 5-4) hit just 5 of 17 from behind the arc for the game.

Jamal Shuler scored 17 points for the Rams, who won their eighth straight and are 9-0 in the CAA for the first time.

Folarin Campbell had 19 points and a career-high nine rebounds and Will Thomas added 14 points for George Mason.

Shuler put the Rams up for good, 29-28, on a 3-pointer with 58 seconds remaining in the first half. The Rams took control with a 13-5 run early in the second half that extended their lead to 53-44.
