S. Alabama 64, Louisiana-Monroe 57

MOBILE, Ala. (AP) -- Brandon Davis and Ernest Little had 13 points each to help lead South Alabama to a 64-57 win over Louisiana-Monroe Thursday night.

The Jaguars (14-7, 8-2 Sun Belt Conference) managed the win even though three starters -- Carlos Smith, Demetric Bennett and Daon Merritt -- were suspended for violating team curfew rules.

Freshman Brooks Taylor had a career-high 10 points and Stephen Cowherd added 10 more and had a career-high eight assists.

The Warhawks' Jonas Brown had a game-high 18 points, including four 3-pointers. Other ULM players in double figures were Lance Brasher, with 15 points, and Tony Hooper with 11.

The Jaguars shot 37.7 from the field, only slightly better than the Warhawks' 35 percent.
