BOSTON (AP) -- Bennet Davis scored 18 points -- including the 1,000th of his career -- and Adrian Martinez added 17 to lead Northeastern to a 73-64 win over Delaware Saturday.

Bobby Kelly and Matt Janning each had 14 for the Huskies, who have won two straight and four of six.

Davis, who also had seven rebounds and four blocks, became the 27th player in school history to score 1,000 points when his layup made it 6-4 early in the first half.

Delaware tied it at 6, but Kelly and Manny Adako responded by scoring all of Northeastern's points during a 7-2 run that put the Huskies (7-14, 5-5 Colonial Athletic Association) up for good.

Herb Courtney led Delaware with 24 points and nine rebounds, while Calvin Cannon scored 19 and Brian Johnson added 13. The Blue Hens (3-18, 1-9) shot 37 percent from the field to lose their fourth straight.

The Blue Hens trailed by as many as nine in the first half, but chipped away at Northeastern's lead to climb back to 28-24 by halftime. Courtney then opened the second half with a layup to pull Delaware within two.

But Davis scored eight points during an 11-2 run, his dunk capping the spurt, making it 39-28 with 14:28 left in the second half.
