HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP) -- Gary Neal scored 21 points and became the third player to score 1,000 points at two Division I schools, leading the Tigers to a 69-60 victory against James Madison on Monday night.

Neal, who transferred to Towson after scoring 1,041 points in two seasons at La Salle, now has 1,009 for the Tigers (11-11, 5-6 Colonial Athletic Association).

Kenny Battle (Northern Illinois and University of Illinois) and Jon Manning (Oklahoma City and North Texas State) are the others to score 1,000 at two schools.

The Dukes (6-15, 3-8) trailed 27-26 at halftime, then fell behind by as many as 18 before a late surge made it appear closer. James Madison was led by Terrance Carter with 19 points and 10 rebounds and Kyle Swanston with 12 points.

Towson opened the second half with an 18-5 run and shot 58 percent in the half.

Winstonn Tubbs added a season-high 14 points and Dennard Abraham had 10 for Towson.
