Western Carolina 77, Wofford 74, OT

CULLOWHEE, N.C. (AP) -- Nick Aldridge scored 22 points to lead Western Carolina in an overtime 77-74 win against Wofford on Monday night.

Jake Robinson added 20 points and pulled down a team-high eight rebounds for the Catamounts (8-13, 5-5 Southern Conference), who finished 43.6 percent shooting and 67.6 percent from the free throw line.

Western Carolina led 36-35 at the break but the teams were tied at 58 at the end of regulation. The Catamounts outscored Wofford 9-6 in overtime.

Wofford (6-15, 1-9) hit 86.4 percent from the free throw line, including a perfect 10-for-10 from Drew Gibson, and finished 36.7 percent shooting.

Shane Nichols led Wofford with 23 points, while Junior Salters added 18 points and Gibson scored 12 points. Gibson and Tyler Whatley each had nine rebounds.
