KENT, Ohio (AP) -- Julian Sullinger scored 15 points and Kent State never trailed in a 61-45 win over Central Michigan on Wednesday night.
Mike Scott added 14 points and Omni Smith had 10 for the Golden Flashes (13-8, 6-2 Mid-American Conference), who jumped out to a 13-0 lead before the Chippewas' Giordan Watson made a 3-pointer with 13:30 left in the first half.
The Golden Flashes led 33-16 at halftime.
Sefton Barrett had 11 points and seven rebounds to lead Central Michigan (8-12, 3-5), which shot about 44 percent (17-of-39) overall. The Chippewas outrebounded Kent State 27-20.
The Golden Flashes scored 29 points off 25 Central Michigan turnovers and shot about 49 percent (19-of-39).
