Saint Louis 73, Saint Joseph's 62

PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Tommie Liddell scored 21 points, including 10 straight down the stretch, and led Saint Louis to a 73-62 victory over Saint Joseph's on Thursday night.

Kevin Lisch added 19 points and Dwayne Polk 11 for Saint Louis (14-8, 4-4), which shot 28-for-54 from the field, including 7-for-10 from 3-point range.

Ahmad Nivins had 14 points, Rob Ferguson 13, and Pat Calathes 11 points and 13 rebounds for Saint Joseph's (12-9, 4-4).

In a game that included 18 lead changes, Saint Joseph's took a 60-58 lead on a jumper by Calathes with 5:58 to play. Liddell then hit three straight jumpers, a layup and two free throws to help seal the victory.

Over the last 5:58, Saint Joseph's scored just two points on 11 possessions.

Calathes sparked a 9-0 run late in the first half, giving the Hawks a 38-31 lead, but a layup just before the buzzer by Justin Johnson brought the Billikens within 38-33 at the break.

Saint Louis center Ian Vouyoukas, hampered by two early fouls, played only four minutes in the first half and finished with just three points and four rebounds in the game.
