BOSTON (AP) -- John Baumann scored 17 points Friday to lead Columbia to a 90-70 win over Harvard.
Niko Scott and Patrick Foley had 13 each for the Lions (11-8, 2-3 Ivy League), who made a season-high 13 of 23 3-point shots. They were 36 of 63 from the field and outrebounded the Crimson 31-28.
Brett Loscalzo scored 11 points for Columbia and was a perfect 3-3 from behind the arc.
Harvard (9-10, 2-3) made 20 of 22 free throws but turned the ball over 17 times, good for 26 Columbia points.
Columbia made 11 of their 13 shots from behind the arc while Scott and Foley both scored in double figures in the first half to take a 54-28 lead at intermission.
The Crimson got a pair of 3-pointers from Drew Housman and Alek Blankenau and a 3-point play by Jeremy Lin at 8:41 of the second half to cut the Columbia lead to 73-50. But Columbia answered with a 7-0 run capped by Joseph Bova's jump shot with 5:13 remaining that put the Lions ahead 82-52.
Harvard made one final surge of 11-1, including a pair of free throws by James Lambert with 1:53 left in the game to make the score 85-67.
