EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) -- All five Northern Iowa starters scored in double figures to snap a three-game losing streak with a 79-71 win at Evansville in the Missouri Valley Conference on Saturday.
Eric Coleman led the Panthers (16-7, 7-5) with 16 points and 12 rebounds, and Jared Josten and Travis Brown scored 15 points each. Grant Stout and Brooks McKowen had 11 points each.Northern Iowa, which shot 20-of-43 (46.5 percent) scored the first 11 points and led by four or more for the remainder of the game.The Panthers led 29-21 at the break, but the Purple Aces (12-12, 5-8) went on a 6-0 run with to make it 42-38 with 12 minutes left. A 3-point play by Brown made it 58-48 and Evansville got no closer than four again.Matt Webster led the Purple Aces with 16. Jason Holsinger had 14 and Kyle Anslinger 12 for Evansville, which shot 22-of-54 (40.7 percent).
