Va. Commonwealth 100, Georgia St. 71

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- Jamal Schuler scored a career-high 25 points Saturday to lead Virginia Commonwealth to a 100-71 win over Georgia State.

The Rams (20-4, 12-1 Colonial Athletic Association) hit 16 of their first 20 field-goal attempts en route to a 39-14 lead with 7:18 left in the first half.

The Panthers (18-15, 4-9) trailed 54-37 at halftime and could get no closer than 15 in the second. Despite shooting a season-high 57.4 percent from the floor, Georgia State had 23 turnovers leading to 36 points for the Rams.

B.A. Walker added 16 points for VCU, Michael Anderson had a career-high 15, Jesse Pellot-Rosa had 13 and Wil Fameni added 11. Eric Maynor had a career-high 15 assists, one shy of the school record.

Ryan McBride led the Panthers with 15 points, Lance Perique added 12 and Deven Dickerson had 11.
