N.C.-Wilmington 67, William & Mary 61

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP) -- Todd Hendley scored 17 points and Daniel Fountain had 12 as North Carolina-Wilmington beat William and Mary 67-61 on Saturday night.

An 11-2 Seahawks run just before halftime broke open a tight game.

Fountain hit a 3-pointer during the rally. A minute later, his steal helped to set up a Hendley 3-pointer that gave North Carolina-Wilmington (6-16, 3-10 Colonial Athletic Association) an 11 point lead just before the half.

The Tribe (12-11, 5-8) could get no closer than five during the second.

Adam Payton scored 24 points and Nathan Mann had 12 for William and Mary.

The Tribe shot just 37 percent, while the Seahawks shot 57.1 percent -- including 71.4 percent in the first half.
