Niagara (13-11, 8-5 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) broke open a close contest with a 25-5 run that lasted nearly 10 minutes through the middle of the second half. Leading 46-43 with 16 minutes left, the Purple Eagles opened the run with three consecutive 3-pointers in less than a minute. Miles capped it with a field goal at 7:16 to make the score 71-48.Four players scored at least two field goals during the decisive Niagara run. Clif Brown finished with 16 points and 12 rebounds for Niagara. J.R. Duffey scored 15.Darnell Wilson scored 16 points for Canisius (11-12, 6-7 MAAC).
