NEW YORK (AP) -- Senior center Guy Ngarndi had 16 points and a career-high 17 rebounds to help Manhattan beat Saint Peter's 58-51 on Tuesday night.
Antoine Pearson added 11 points and Patrick Bouli and Darryl Crawford scored 10 each for the Jaspers (12-11, 9-4 Metro Atlantic), who pulled into a first-place tie in the conference with Loyola, Md. and Marist.
Both teams struggled from the field, with Manhattan shooting just 39.6 percent from the field and Saint Peter's hitting 35.4 percent.
Ngarndi and Crawford had six points each to help the Jaspers to a 22-17 lead at halftime.
Manhattan led 45-36 after Bouli scored with 7:15 remaining.
Kevin Spann's 3-pointer narrowed the margin to 47-46 with 4:38 left, but the Peacocks got no closer.
