NEWARK, Del. (AP) -- Sam McMahon scored a game-high 26 points, and Delaware defeated UNC Wilmington 78-69 Wednesday night.
McMahon hit 9 of 12 shots from the field, as well as four three-pointers for Delaware (5-20, 3-11 CAA).Four of Delaware's five starters scored in double figures, including Henry Olawoye, who reached career highs with 12 points and a team-high eight rebounds, as the Hens ended a two-game losing streak.Delaware, which has been playing with just seven scholarship players and eight total for most of the season, suffered another personnel loss before the game when guard Calvin Cannon was declared academically ineligible. Delaware used just six players in Wednesday's game.Todd Hendley scored a team-high 17 points for UNC Wilmington (6-17, 3-11). Vladimir Kuljanin grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.
