Central Connecticut 80, Sacred Heart 66

FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP) -- Tristan Blackwood scored 27 points as Central Connecticut rolled to its 11th straight win with an 80-66 victory over Sacred Heart on Monday.

Obie Nwadike added 18 points and 12 rebounds for Central (16-10, 13-1 Northeast Conference), which led by as many as 28 points in the second half. Jemino Sobers and Joe Seymore each had 13 points.

Jarrid Frye led Sacred Heart with 12 points. Luke Granato added 11 as the Pioneers (12-13, 8-6) lost for the fifth time in seven games.

Central raced out to a 17-4 lead and remained in command the rest of the way. The Blue Devils hit their first six 3-pointers and led by as much as 23 in a first half. They closed out the period with a 41-19.

Sacred Heart came no closer than 10 in the second half.
