GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) -- Ricky Hickman scored 19 points and led four UNC Greensboro players in double figures as the Spartans beat Western Carolina 79-68 on Wednesday night.

The win spoiled a solid individual effort from Western Carolina's Nick Aldridge, who scored 28 points and grabbed 11 rebounds -- both game highs. The Catamounts otherwise struggled shooting from the field, hitting just 38 percent of their shots.

Western Carolina (10-16, 7-8 Southern Conference) opened up a five-point lead early in the first half, but UNC Greensboro (14-12, 11-5) came back to take a 44-41 halftime lead. The Spartans extended the lead to as much as 18 points in the second half.

Kevin Oleksiak and Mikko Koivisto scored 13 points each, and Ben Stywell added 10 points off the bench for UNC Greensboro.

Arnold Gore contributed 14 points and Brandon Giles had 11 for the Catamounts.
