HAMPTON, Va. (AP) -- Roy Bright scored 26 points to lead Delaware State to a 81-74 win over Hampton on Saturday Night, ending the Pirates' five-game winning streak.
The Hornets (15-11, 13-2 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) took a 43-40 halftime lead on a 3-pointer by Darrin Shine with 4 seconds left and never trailed again
Hampton (12-13, 8-6) was only able to get as close as 76-74 on a layup by Rashad West with 41 seconds to play. Jahsha Bluntt had four points in the final seconds, and Roy Bright added two free throws to keep the Hornets on top.
Bluntt ended the game with 20 points for Delaware State and Kyle Neal had 10.
Matthew Pilgrim led the Pirates with 24 points, West had 18 and Michael Freeman had 15.
