MORAGA, Calif. (AP) -- Brett Collins scored 22 of his 26 points in the second half as Saint Mary's (14-14, 6-6) snapped a four-game West Coast Conference losing streak with a 92-83 victory over San Francisco on Monday night.
Collins's performance offset Manny Quezada's 28 points in the second half. He finished with 35 points for San Francisco (12-16, 7-5).
Saint Mary's, which scored only 96 points in a pair of losses to Gonzaga and Portland last weekend, fell behind 13-4 as San Francisco scored 11 straight points but took the lead for good with a 15-2 run.
Collins scored nine of Saint Mary's 10 points as it built a double-digit lead early in the second half.
Saint Mary's led 50-37 when Quezada hit a 3-pointer with 15:11 to play for his first points of the second half for San Francisco. The 6-foot-2 sophomore almost single-handedly brought San Francisco back after the Dons fell behind by 17 points before cutting the lead to 90-83 in the closing seconds.
Quezada hit 11 of 19 shots, and went 9-of-10 from the free throw line. He hit three 3-pointers in the second half, but Saint Mary's was 5-of-8 from beyond the arc in the second half as Collins also had three 3-pointers.
