LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) -- Jarvis Bradley scored 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds before fouling out and John Ford hit four straight free throws in the closing seconds to help McNeese State hold back a late rally by Texas-San Antonio for a 63-57 Southland Conference win on Thursday.
The victory was the third in a row for the Cowboys (12-15, 7-6), which led 25-23 at the half.
With 2:22 left, McNeese had a 57-45 lead. But, at the two minute mark, Bradley fouled out and Texas-San Antonio (6-20, 2-11) began to sweep up the rebounds. The Roadrunners scored 10 straight points to climb to within two at 57-55 with 42 seconds left.
With just 21 seconds left the Cowboys had a 59-57 lead but then Ford hit the free throws and Rorey Lawrence posted a breakaway dunk.
