LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) -- Jarvis Bradley scored 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds before fouling out and John Ford hit four straight free throws in the closing seconds to help McNeese State hold back a late rally by Texas-San Antonio for a 63-57 Southland Conference win on Thursday.
The victory was the third in a row for the Cowboys (12-15, 7-6), which led 25-23 at the half.With 2:22 left, McNeese had a 57-45 lead. But, at the two minute mark, Bradley fouled out and Texas-San Antonio (6-20, 2-11) began to sweep up the rebounds. The Roadrunners scored 10 straight points to climb to within two at 57-55 with 42 seconds left.With just 21 seconds left the Cowboys had a 59-57 lead but then Ford hit the free throws and Rorey Lawrence posted a breakaway dunk.John Pichon joined Bradley in double figures, scoring 15 points while Ford added 12 and Quentin Gonzales had 11.Keith Spencer's 14 points led UTSA and Melvin Smith addedd 10. Spencer also had 12 rebounds in the game.
