Columbia 82, Yale 64

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) -- John Baumann scored 20 points as Columbia stunned Yale 82-64 in Ivy League play Saturday night.

Kevin Bulger added 17 points and Ben Nwachukwu had 14 points for the Lions (14-12, 5-7), who secured their first .500 season since 1992-93.

Columbia's win also snapped its three-game losing streak, and broke a five-game losing streak in New Haven.

Yale (13-12, 9-3) got 15 points each from Eric Flato and Caleb Holmes.

The Bulldogs entered Saturday a half-game behind Penn, and face the Quakers on Friday. With a win against Yale, Penn would clinch its third straight Ivy title and a NCAA tournament berth.
