LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) -- Kendrick Davis hit a 3-point shot with 2.2 seconds left and North Texas beat Louisiana-Lafayette, 72-70 on Saturday.

Neither team ever led by more than six points in a game with nine ties and 11 lead changes; the halftime score was 30-30.

Davis made 19 points, Quincy Williams 17 and Michael Sturns 13 for the Mean Green (19-10).

North Texas was 70 percent from the free throw line, hitting 19 of 27 attempts, while the Ragin' Cajuns (9-20) made only 20 of 39, 51 percent.

Ross Mouton had 22 points and David Dees 21 for ULL.
