DOVER, Del. (AP) -- Roy Bright scored 16 points, and Delaware State clinched its third straight Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference regular-season title with a 77-65 victory over Florida A&M on Saturday.

All five starters finished in double figures for the Hornets (17-11, 14-2 MEAC), who won their fifth straight. Darrin Shine scored 14 points, and Jahsha Bluntt, Aaron Fleetwood and Troy Roundtree all had 12.

The Hornets did much of their damage from 3-point range, hitting 12 of 24 attempts. Bright and Shine combined to go 8-for-15.

The win gave Delaware State a four-game lead over second-place Florida A&M (16-13, 10-6) with two games remaining.

Rome Sanders scored 26 points on 10-of-12 shooting to lead the Rattlers. Darius Glover added 13.

Florida A&M dominated in the paint, scoring 40 points to Delaware State's 20, and shot 53.3 percent for the game. But the Rattlers couldn't counter the long-range accuracy of the Hornets, who shot 52.1 percent from the field.

Delaware State also hit 15 of 16 free-throw attempts in the second half after going 0-for-1 from the line in the first half. The Hornets never trailed and led 39-31 at halftime.
