WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) -- Carl Landry had 25 points and 12 rebounds as Purdue beat Minnesota 66-47 on Wednesday night and kept its NCAA Tournament hopes from fading.

Landry also had six steals, four assists and three blocks. Chris Lutz added 10 points for the Boilermakers (19-10, 8-7 Big Ten).

Spencer Tollackson scored 16 points and Dan Coleman added 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Gophers (9-21, 3-13), who lost their eighth straight game.

Purdue forced 28 turnovers and held Minnesota to 41 percent shooting to win for the fifth time in seven games. The Boilermakers still could finish in third place in the Big Ten.

Purdue won despite an off night from David Teague. The team's second-leading scorer had averaged 19 points the past eight games, but he finished with two on 1-for-8 shooting.

Minnesota won the first meeting 65-59 on Jan. 3 in Minneapolis.

The Gophers started the second half on a 6-3 mini-run to cut Purdue's 14-point halftime lead to 36-25. Purdue responded with a 6-0 run, highlighted by Chris Kramer's steal and layup, to take a 42-25 lead with 14:25 left.

Minnesota made one more quick run to cut Purdue's lead to 42-30, but Landry scored eight points in the next eight minutes to put the Boilermakers in control for good.

Purdue held Minnesota scoreless for the first 6:31 of the game. Tarrance Crump's putback in the closing seconds of the first half gave Purdue a 33-19 lead at the break.
