    JACKSON, Miss. (AP) -- Trey Johnson scored 26 points to help Jackson State end a two-game losing streak with a 69-65 victory over Alabama State in a Southwestern Athletic Conference game on Thursday night.

    Johnson hit two free throws with 1:32 remaining in the game to give Jackson State (17-13, 11-6) a 66-65 lead after the Tigers battled back from a 59-53 deficit with 4:24 left.

    Jackson State got a basket from Julius Young with 16 seconds left to seal the victory after trailing 42-35 at halftime.

    Grant Maxey added 15 points and Young finish with 12 points and 10 rebounds for Jackson State.

    Alabama State (10-18, 8-9) was lead by Andrew Hayes with 26 points and Richard Lott with 14.
