LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) -- Jarvis Bradley led a second half rally that carried McNeese State to a 63-45 Southland Conference basketball victory over Southeastern Louisiana here Thursday night.
Bradley scored 16 of his game-high 18 points and pulled eight of his nine rebounds in the game as the Cowboys (13-16, 8-7) outscored the Lions 39-20. In the final five minutes of play, McNeese outscored the Lions 11-1.Joining Bradley in double-figure scoring were Troy Aaron with 12 points and John Ford with 10.Joseph Polite led the Lions (16-12, 8-7) with 14 points and Kevyn Green had 10. Daryl Cohen, who scored over 30 points in the Lions' early season victory over the Cowboys, produced only three points.The Lions scored the game's first six points and went out front by as many as 12 points, 22-10, with 7:45 left in the first half. McNeese went on to outscore Southeastern 14-3 the rest of the way to pull to within one point at halftime.In the second period, the Cowboys held a 39-38 lead at the 10:11 mark and outscored the Lions 24-7 the rest of the way. McNeese also held a big advantage in the rebounding department in the second half, outrebounding the Lions 27-16.
