RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- Frank Elegar scored 23 points and Drexel beat Northeastern 64-50 Saturday in the quarterfinals of the Colonial Athletic Association tournament.

The Huskies, who were 3-for-21 on 3-pointers, got no closer than 13 thereafter.

Elegar scored 12 points in the first 11:38 as the Dragons took an 18-7 lead. He also grabbed six rebounds. Dominick Mejia added 11 points and Bashir Mason and Randy Oveneke 10 each for Drexel, which lost 75-68 at home to VCU on Jan. 27 in their only meeting.
