Concordia shaved the lead to six points at 72-66 with 1:56 left in the game. Lehmon Colbert hit a jumper and Smith added a pair of free throws to give the Dolphins a ten point lead before Alban Shala's 3-pointer at the buzzer made it a 7-point final margin.
Smith continued his shooting from the field line, sinking 9-of-10 shots, all in the second half. Allen was 7-of-12 from the field.
Richard Fields led Concordia (0-2) with 21 points. He sparked a 16-4 late surge by the Clippers by scoring 10 of the 16 points when they narrowed Jacksonville's lead to six points.
