Holy Cross 80, Harvard 69

WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) -- Tim Clifford scored a game-high 22 points as Holy Cross defeated Harvard 80-69 on Wednesday night for its school-record 20th straight home win.

Clifford scored 16 of his points in the second half, including a key basket with 5:30 left to give the Crusaders (4-0) the lead for good.

Holy Cross used an 18-7 run over the final 5:56 to pull away from the Crimson.

Alex Vander Baan added 18 points for Holy Cross, 14 of them coming in the first half, which the Crusaders led 42-32. Adam May added 16 off the bench and Colin Cunningham chipped in with 13.

For Harvard (2-3), guard Drew Housman led the team with 19 points, including four 3-pointers. Jeremy Lin added 15, followed by 12 from Pat Magnarelli and 10 from Andrew Pusar.
