LINCOLN, Neb. (AP)Ryan Anderson scored 10 of his 12 points after intermission as Nebraska used a 24-5 half-spanning run to take control of the game on the way to downing Norfolk State 83-48 Tuesday.
Nebraska (3-0) broke a 25-25 tie on Aleks Maric's basket with 2:18 left in the first half and outscored Norfolk State (1-3) 7-0 to end the period.
The Huskers held the Spartans to just two field goals in the first eight minutes of the second half while running off 15 points of their own to go up 47-30 on Sek Henry's 3-pointer with 12 minutes remaining. Henry's free throws 45 seconds later capped the Nebraska run.
Norfolk State, which shot just 21 percent in the second half and 26 percent for the game, went without a field goal for an eight-minute stretch in the final half.
That basket was the only Norfolk State score in a 10-2 Nebraska run that pushed the lead to 25 at 59-34. Nebraska's biggest lead was 36.
The Huskers scored 51 second half points on 56 percent shooting from the field and from 3-point range.
Nebraska dominated the game defensively, forcing 18 Norfolk State turnovers, including 11 steals by the Huskers.
