MURRAY, Ky. (AP) -- Tyler Holloway scored 26 points as Murray State held off a late rally by Arkansas State to win 81-67 Monday night.
Murray led 48-27 on a layup by Thomas with 18:03 left in the game, but Arkansas State then went on an 8-0 run sparked by a three-point play by Banks to trail 48-35 with 16:27 to go.
Banks hit back-to-back 3-pointers starting at 7:34, setting off a 16-8 run that cut Murray's lead to 70-65 with 2:53 left.
Murray jumped out to an early 14-3 lead and led by as much as 20 points in the first half. The Racers were ahead 40-22 at halftime.
