GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Mike Schachtner scored 17 points for Wisconsin-Green Bay in a 63-47 win over Eastern Illinois Tuesday night.
Ryan Tillema scored all but two of his 15 points in the second half, including eight straight in a 10-2 second half run that put the Panthers away.
The Phoenix (4-2) avenged a third road loss from last season. After knocking off North Dakota State on Saturday and Oakland (Mich.) in its home opener, Green Bay got some revenge against an Eastern Illinois team that nipped the Phoenix by two points in 2006.
A late first-half 8-1 run, capped off by Cordero Barkley?s banked-in buzzer-beater, gave Green Bay a 35-19 halftime lead.
Defense keyed Green Bay?s big lead. The Panthers made just 7-of-21 (33.3 percent) shots in the first half, while the Phoenix hit 15-of-29 (51.7 percent).
Green Bay finished the night at 49 percent shooting, while Eastern Illinois managed just 34.1 percent.
