ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) -- Tyrese Rice scored 28 points and had five assists Wednesday to help Boston College to its fifth straight win, a 77-64 victory over Michigan in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
Michigan trailed 54-52 midway through the second half after DeShawn Sims' dunk, but Boston College answered with 12 straight points during a two-minute stretch to take command. Rice got it started with a breakaway layup.
The Wolverines never got no closer than seven points the rest of the game.
The Eagles outrebounded Michigan 50-32 and scored 21 points off their 17 offensive boards.
Manny Harris had 19 points and four steals for Michigan (3-4), which also got 16 from DeShawn Sims.
Rice was 4-for-6 from behind the arc in the first half and scored 16 points to help Boston College take a 34-33 lead at intermission.
