FAIRFAX, Va. (AP) -- Dre' Smith scored a season-high 16 points and led four Patriots in double figures as George Mason defeated visiting Drexel 85-38.
George Mason (6-1, 1-0) shot 50.9 percent en route to its most lopsided home victory since beating Howard 106-55 on December 1, 1998. The 47-point victory margin also established a new record against a Colonial Athletic Association opponent.Folarin Campbell scored 11 points, and Will Thomas and Chris Fleming each added 10 points. A total of 10 Patriots players scored points.George Mason opened the game by hitting eight of its first 13 shots, including four 3-pointers.
