PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Cavel Witter scored 20 points and hit all 10 of his free throw attempts to lead Creighton to a 72-48 victory over Drexel on Saturday.
Leading scorer Dane Watts added 10 points for the Blue Jays (5-0), who started out 5-0 for the first time since 2004-05.
Tramayne Hawthorne scored 12 points for the Dragons (5-3, who lost their second straight.
Drexel struggled for most of the game, going almost seven minutes without a field goal and committing 18 of their season-high 29 turnovers in the first half.
Creighton used an 11-0 run to overcome its 1-for-13 shooting performance from behind the 3-point line and took a 31-18 lead at the break.
The Dragons cut the margin to 48-36 at 7:19 in the second half, but the Blue Jays hit 10 straight free throws to take a 56-38 lead with 6:05 left. Creighton hit six straight from the line without losing possession after Randy Oveneke fouled Watts under Creighton's basket. After the foul, Oveneke and Drexel coach Bruiser Flint received technical fouls when Oveneke slammed the ball to the floor.
