WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) -- Michael Puckett scored 15 points to lead Winston-Salem State to a 67-61 victory over Georgia State on Saturday night.
Darius Floyd had 14 points and
Jamal Durham finished with 11 points for the Rams (2-5), who shot nearly 45 percent in snapping a four-game losing streak.
Rashad Chase scored 18 points for the Panthers (2-6), who have lost three in a row following a two-game winning streak.
Winston-Salem State used a 10-2 run to open its largest lead of the season. The Rams led 53-42 midway through the second half and didn't relinquish the advantage.
The Rams outrebounded Georgia State 36-32 and overcame 20 turnovers by turning the Panthers' 18 miscues into 18 points.
