    NEW YORK (AP) -- Ben Nwachukwu scored 15 of his 21 points in the second half and Columbia pulled away for an 83-64 victory over St.Francis, N.Y. on Monday night.

    Columbia(4-6) had a nine-point lead three times in the first half but led only 40-37 at halftime.

    The visiting Terriers (3-7), who have lost three straight, trailed by as many as 11 points early in the second half but got within 59-54 on Kayode Ayeni's basket with 9:40 remaining.

    Nwachukwu then scored six points in a 9-0 run that gave the Lions a 68-54 lead with 7:24 to go.

    Jamaal Womack led the Terriers with 19 points while Robert Hines had 12.

    K.J. Matsui had 17 points for Columbia with Niko Scott adding 14 and John Baumann 10.
