Frank Elegar scored 16 of his 18 points in the second half and grabbed 12 rebounds for Drexel (5-5), which lost its fourth straight game.

Temple trailed 35-34 with 16:49 left to play before going on a 14-4 run, capped by a 3-pointer by Christmas, to lead 48-39.

The Dragons rallied behind Elegar and closed within 53-49 at the 5:25 mark, but Ryan Brooks hit a 3-pointer as Temple scored 10 straight points and took a 63-49 advantage.
