LONG BEACH, Calif. (AP) -- Donavan Morris scored a career-high 26 points and Long Beach State beat San Francisco 71-68 on Tuesday night.

Morris was 9-of-14 from the field and 7-of-8 from free throw line and pulled down seven rebounds. His two free throws with 20 seconds remaining gave the 49ers a 71-68 lead.

The Dons moved the ball down court for a last shot but Dior Lowhorn's attempt was off the mark. Maurice Clady rebounded the ball for Long Beach State as the game ended.

San Francisco (4-7) dropped to 0-5 on the road and has lost all four games they have played this season against Big West opponents.

Long Beach State (3-6) improved to 3-1 at home.

Darnell Porter scored a career-high 18 points for the 49ers, who shot 55.6 percent (25-for-45) for the game.

Manny Quezada, who fouled out with 20 seconds remaining, and Myron Strong both scored 18 points for the Dons while Lowhorn added 14.
