TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) -- Alonzo Gee scored 21 points and Brandon Hollinger hit five 3-pointers to lead Alabama to a 93-57 victory over George Washington on Saturday.

Richard Hendrix added 18 and Mykal Riley scored 15 to keep Alabama (10-3) ahead. Hendrix scored his 1,000th Alabama career point with 17:33 remaining in the first half.

Hollinger came off the bench and scored all 15 of his points in 14 minutes on the floor

Alabama jumped to a 27-7 early lead and stretched it to 50-29 at halftime.

Rob Diggs had 18 points and Wynton Witherspoon scored 15 for George Washington (4-6). Maureece Rice added 11 points for the Colonials.

Alabama head coach Mark Gottfried said a couple of things stood out about the performance.

"The first thing that jumps off the page on the stats sheet is 25 assists off of 35 baskets," Gottfried said.

He also said the team's "defensive intensity was excellent."
