WILMINGTON, N.C. (AP) -- Kyle Hines and Kevin Oleksiak scored 16 points apiece to lead North Carolina-Greensboro to a 72-55 win against North Carolina-Wilmington on Saturday night in a rare meeting between the two instate mid-majors.
Hines reached double figures for the Division I-best 60th straight game but was denied his fourth consecutive double-double for the Spartans (6-4), who led by 26 and shot 44 percent in winning their second straight.
Todd Hendley scored 20 points for the Seahawks (8-5), who held a 38-35 rebounding advantage yet had their four-game home winning snapped.
Daniel Fountain added 12 points, T.J. Carter scored 10 and Vladimir Kuljanin had 12 rebounds for UNC Wilmington, which was denied a third straight win against an instate team. The Seahawks already own victories over North Carolina Central and East Carolina.
Mikko Koivisto scored 11 points, and he and Oleksiak each hit three 3-pointers for UNC Greensboro.
It was just the fourth meeting between the cross-state foes. UNC Greensboro won last year's BracketBuster matchup 73-66.
