    LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Junior forward Ryan Bathie scored a career and game-high 22 points to lead Nicholls State over Kennesaw State 84-68 in the Duel of the Desert Sunday afternoon.

    Bathie was 8-of-13 from the field, including 4-of-8 from 3-point range in the third game of a three-game round-robin format.

    Also for the Colonels (5-10), Freshman guard Anatoly Bose scored a career-high 21 points with four rebounds. He also was 8-of-13 from the field, and was 4-of-5 from the free-throw line.

    Domenic Friend had 13 points and eight rebounds, while Justin Payne added 10 points and seven assists for the Colonels, who finish the Duel of the Desert 1-2.

    Ron Wooten and Kelvin McConnell each scored 19 points to lead Kennesaw State (2-11). Wooten also had six rebounds. Shuan Stegall added 10 points and seven assists for the Owls, who went 0-3 in the Duel of the Desert.

    After Nicholls State scored the game's first nine points, it later pulled out to a 24-10 advantage. The Colonels led 36-18 at halftime. The Owls never came closer than 11 points in the second half.
