GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Ryan Tillema scored 16 of his 23 points in the first half as Wisconsin-Green Bay took control early and beat Detroit 78-52 in a Horizon League game on Thursday night.
Jon Goode hit five 3-pointers and paced Detroit with 19 points and four assists.
The Phoenix (8-5, 2-1) led 35-26 at halftime and then expanded the lead on back-to-back 3-pointers by Rahmon Fletcher, who had 14 points, eight rebounds and five assists.
Green Bay built its lead to as many as 31, leading comfortably almost the entire second half.
Detroit (4-9, 0-3) had won five of the last six in the series with the Phoenix.
But Green Bay turned the tables by shooting 58 percent overall from the field and making 9-of-13 (69.2 percent) 3-point attempts this time.
Terry Evans chipped in six points, six assists, five steals and four rebounds for Green Bay.
