DAVIDSON, N.C. (AP) -- Stephen Curry scored 19 points, Jason Richards added 17 and Davidson beat Western Carolina 86-73 on Saturday night.
Will Archambault added 11 points and
Thomas Sander had 10 rebounds for the Wildcats (6-6, 4-0 Southern Conference), who have won their first four league games for the second straight season and fourth time under coach Bob McKillop.
It was an uncharacteristically off night shooting for Curry, the nation's fifth-leading scorer. He was just 1-of-11 from 3-point range and finished 6-of-16 from the field.
Michael Porrini had 14 points to lead the Catamounts (4-10, 0-4), while
Jake Robinson added 13.
Brandon Giles scored 12 and
Negus McKenna had 11 for Western Carolina.
Davidson forced 23 turnovers and scored 32 points off those miscues, and held a 40-36 rebounding advantage in improving to 33-18 in the series.
