WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) -- Roy Bright scored 24 points Monday night to help Delaware State beat Winston-Salem State 66-59.
Donald Johnson added 16 points for the Hornets (5-9), who shot just 8-for-22 after halftime but offset that by hitting 11 of 13 free throws.
Darrell Wonge had 18 points and seven rebounds for the Rams (6-8), who shot 47 percent for the game.
Delaware State led 36-30 at halftime before Winston-Salem State made a spurt to go ahead. But the Hornets responded with three straight 3-pointers to push ahead to stay, increasing the margin to as many as 10 points late.
