NEW YORK (AP) -- Eugene Kotorobai scored 24 points and had 11 rebounds as Long Island University snapped a three-game losing streak with an 85-65 rout of Wagner on Thursday night.

Kyle Johnson added 20 points for the Blackbirds (10-6, 2-3 Northeast Conference), while David Hicks had 18.

Jamal Smith led the Seahawks (12-5, 5-1) with 17 points and a game-high 12 rebounds, and Mark Porter added 11 points.

Durrel Vinson's tipin with 10:18 of the first half gave visiting Wagner a 22-20 lead, the Seahawks' only one of the game.

LIU outscored Wagner 20-8 the rest of the half behind Johnson's eight points and two 3-pointers by Hicks. The Blackbirds opened the second half on 9-2 run to go up 49-32 with 15:38 left.
