Carroll became Utah State's career scoring leader on his first basket of the game, passing Greg Grant who tallied 2,127 points. Only three players in Utah State history have scored more than 2,000 points.
Carroll currently leads the WAC in scoring at 21.3 points per game, as well as 3-point shooting and free-throw percentage.
After falling behind in the first half, the closest Idaho could get to the Aggies was 50-59 with 12:12 to play. The Vandals had 10 steals and forced 15 turnovers but only shot 44 percent from the field, while Utah State shot 60.4 percent.
In the first half, the teams traded leads until Utah State went on a 14-3 run, marked by five straight points from Wilkinson, and giving the Aggies a 34-25 edge. Idaho brought the score to 34-30 with 5:50 to play, but Utah State ended the half with a 45-33 lead.
Carroll broke the scoring mark with 13:35 to play in the first half on a 3-point shot, his first of two consecutive 3-pointers and 3-of-4 in the game.
